FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Hunter Currall visited Franke Park Elementary School Thursday afternoon to pick up lunch.
He beamed from ear to ear when he saw the surprise at the curb.
Floppy ears.
Fluffy tail.
Pointy whiskers.
Magical.
The Easter bunny made a special appearance to deliver candy and end-of-semester learning materials to Franke Park Elementary students while they received meals provided by Fort Wayne Community Schools' volunteers.
Currall says, "I get to see the Easter bunny slash principal."
Franke Park Elementary principal, Dr. Gjergj Haxhiu, affectionately known as "Dr. H," donned the all-white rabbit suit that captured children's eyes.
COVID-19 virus restrictions altered many families' Easter traditions, prompting Dr. H to spread some spring cheer to the students before the school year is over.
Dr. H says, "Hopefully we're going to hop toward the day when Coronavirus is just in the past."
