FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Fort Wayne shoppers had mixed reactions when they made trips to the grocery store today.
“I needed to get some diapers and wipes and I got one of the last few boxes of wipes and there were like only three single packs,” said Dawn Miller, Fort Wayne resident. “I went back by the aisle later and there was only one .”

Shoppers said cleaning products like paper towels and napkins were the hardest items to come across.
When it came to food, shoppers said canned vegetables, dry pasta and eggs were items that were fleeting the fastest.
“I did self-checkout and that was really smooth,” said Terez Zorger, Fort Wayne resident. “I was surprised. Certain places were pretty empty but overall I thought it was pretty well stocked.”
Some grocery stores have taken initiatives like changing hours to make time for deep cleaning.
“When you walk in the door they are disinfecting all the carts as they come in,” said Patty McGrew, Fort Wayne resident. “There have been no backed-up lines yet. We are just getting ready with a couple of weeks worth of stuff to stay in.”
