FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Ginny Pickett wasn't able to share her secret to reaching the 103-year milestone, but said she wouldn't have made it to where she is today without the support of family and friends.
"I am very blessed," Pickett said. "I have a lot of good friends."
Those who know Pickett best say some of her crowning achievements are being one of the first cheerleaders ever at New Haven High School, and caring for her family that includes seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
"I couldn't tell you how I've made it this far," Pickett said. "I guess I start the countdown to 104 starting today."
Pickett has spent the past four years living at the Arbor Glen Independent Living Facility, and all 103 years of life in the Fort Wayne and New Haven communities.
From the FOX 55 News team, Happy Birthday Ginny!
