FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- Fort Wayne Police are on the scene of a deadly motorcycle crash on Jefferson Boulevard.

The crash happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. in front of The Village at Time Corners when a red SUV collided with a motorcycle.
Officers arrived on scene and located the driver of the motorcycle lying in the middle of the intersection.
Paramedics pronounced the man driving the motorcycle dead at the scene.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Jefferson Blvd. at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
The driver of the SUV was eastbound on Jefferson Blvd. attempting to turn left into the Covington Plaza shopping center.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
He did not report any injuries as a result of the crash.
Police say the victim was not wearing a helmet.
Investigators say it does not appear alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
The westbound lane of Jefferson Boulevard was closed as police investigated the scene.
