FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Police are searching for a potential suspect in a shooting that left a man dead on the north side of Fort Wayne Tuesday morning.
At 8:41 a.m. Tuesday, the Fort Wayne Police Department was called to Hawthorn Suites 4919 Lima Rd. in connection to a shooting that took place inside one of the hotel's rooms.

Police say when they arrived to the hotel they found a man who was shot.
He was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.
Detectives believe there to have been some sort of disturbance in the room just before the shooting took place.
At this time Fort Wayne Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Units are still at the hotel investigating this shooting.
FWPD tells FOX 55 that 28-year-old Joseph Rose is considered to be a "person of interest" in this shooting.

Rose is described as a white male, 6’2” tall and weighs about 225 pounds.
He has Brown hair and Hazel eyes and detectives say his hair is shorter than in this picture.
He has the following distinguishing tattoos on his face: Swastikas below his left eye and lightning bolts below his right eye and tattooed horns on his forehead.
Rose is to be considered armed and dangerous.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim after notification of next of kin.
