FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Fort Wayne police are investigating a reported shooting Wednesday evening on the city's southeast side.
Allen County Dispatch tells FOX 55 it happened around 7:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of Monroe Street.
Dispatchers said there was a 3-month-old victim who had non-life-threatening injuries.
FWPD says the infant was inside of a car after being grazed by a bullet.
"The wound was a grazing wound thankfully," said Sgt. Sofia Rosales-Scatena, FWPD Public Information Officer. "We are very concerned that this would even happen."
The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark green Jeep Grand Cherokee.
"When these kinds of things are affecting our young children it is unacceptable," Rosales-Scatena said. "Anybody that has information should come forward and help us out on this one."
Police are still investigating this shooting.
