FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Police in Fort Wayne arrested a man who is suspected of killing a 19-year-old woman earlier this month at a motel.
Homicide detectives with the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested 40-year-old Thomas J. Jackson on a murder charge in connection to the shooting death of Angel M. Carter on Sunday, Aug. 9 at the Rodeway Inn.

Jackson was arrested by police and booked into the Allen County jail on Thursday.
He is facing a preliminary murder charge.
According to a probable cause affidavit, a witness told police that she heard and argument and a gunshot and someone said, "you f----- up."
According to court documents, at the time of the shooting, a motel employee told investigators that Jackson was living in the room he allegedly shot Carter in for weeks.
Jackson is expected to make his initial court appearance Monday morning at 8.
