FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Police say a shooting on Fort Wayne's north side left a man seriously injured late Wednesday night.
Just before 10 p.m., officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Glenwood Avenue in connection to reports of gunshots being fired in the area.
Police say when they arrived to the area they found a man and laying in the front yard of a home on Glenwood.
Investigators say the victim was suffering from two apparent gunshot wounds.
Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital in serious condition.
FWPD says when the victim arrived at the hospital, a physician reported his condition became worse and was critical.
Detectives canvassed the neighborhood and are speaking with potential witnesses at police headquarters for interviews.
They say at this time there is no information on a potential suspect.
This shooting remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
