FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — A woman has died after she was struck by a car on South Anthony Boulevard Thursday evening.

Fort Wayne Police responded to the 4400 block of S. Anthony shortly after 6 p.m. and found a woman lying on the ground.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as 38-year-old Leah Marie Weber of Fort Wayne.

Investigators say Weber was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle heading north.

They say it's too early to determine what if any factors contributed to the incident.

The Coroner has ruled the cause of death as blunt force injuries due to motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash and the manner of death is accident.

Weber is the 37th fatal traffic accident in Allen County for 2019.

This incident is still under investigation.
