HAMILTON, Ind. (WFFT) — Police in Steuben County are investigating a snowmobile crash that left a man seriously injured Monday afternoon.
Just before 5 p.m. Indiana Conservation Officers were dispatched to the area near the 400 block of Lane 210 in Hamilton, near Hamilton Lake regarding a crash.

Officers say 28-year-old Hayden V. Rice of Fort Wayne was riding his snowmobile on the snow and ice on Hamilton Lake and lost control while trying to make a turn.
Rice was ejected from the snowmobile and struck a metal dock post.
Rice was flown by Parkview Samaritan to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne in critical condition with multiple broken bones and internal injuries.
Investigators say Rice was not wearing a helmet or any other protective riding gear at the time of the accident.
