Fort Wayne Police investigating shooting

Fort Wayne Police are investigating a shooting at Packard Avenue and Clinton Court.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - A man is in serious condition after a shooting north of Southside High School. 

Police were called just after 3:00 p.m. to Packard Ave. and Clinton Court. Officers found a small SUV stopped on the sidewalk north of the school with a victim in the passenger seat. He had been shot in the torso. 

There were three occupants in the vehicle. No one else was hurt. 

Police believe the shooting took place on the north end of Clinton Court near Piqua Ave. Witnesses said the shots came from a maroon passenger car. 

Officers are interviewing the driver of the vehicle the victim was in, as well as other witnesses to figure out what led to the shooting. 

This is believed to be a targeted incident.
