FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department announced it will open several city recreation facilities Friday morning for Stage 3 of Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track plan.
On May 22, the following facilities will be available to the public:
• Johnny Appleseed Campground, opening May 24
• Lawton Skate Park
• Hurshtown Reservoir
• All athletic courts (tennis, basketball, futsal, pickleball courts)
• Athletic fields open for practice
• All Park Restrooms
Due to Gov. Holcomb's latest Executive Order, Park Playgrounds and Splashpads will not reopen Friday.
Families visiting the parks are asked to maintain proper social distancing in order to keep the Spraygrounds safe for all who are using them.
