FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Fort Wayne Community Schools is closer to help students learn to play an instrument.
White Lodging, the company which owns the downtown Hampton Inn and Suites, donated $50,000 to the b Instrumental program.
The program pays for instruments for students to use during middle and high school musical programs.
District leaders said the program helps cover shortfalls in funding for the Fine Arts.
"Music education really helps students be well rounded in their education. It helps improve their academics," said Melanie Hall, FWCS director of philanthropy.
You can donate to the b Instrumental program on the FWCS website.
