FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Fort Wayne City Council on Tuesday also approved an economic revitalization area for a new behavioral health facility.
It'll be located on West Washington Center Road in Fort Wayne.
The project will cost $32 million and bring 120 full-time jobs to the local economy.
City Councilman Tom Didier says it'll be a huge benefit to the health care system in Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana.
"A good purpose for what needs to happen for the city the residents there I think [will] benefit from where it's [at] from people out of state, the convenience of getting off of [Interstate] 69 and Lima Road," Didier explained.
A tax abatement was approved with the resolution.
It was a 10-year abatement decreasing by 10% each year.
