FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Anyone wanting to connect with animals and kids, and educate people about conservation is invited to volunteer at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.

The zoo will be holding a volunteer opportunity fair Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Current volunteers and staff members will be there to answer questions, and you'll even get to meet some friendly animals.

"It could be teens. From ages 13-17 we have opportunities, or adults. I have volunteers in their 90s. So there are many opportunities. Even though we're closed for the season right now we do use our volunteers year round," said Kathy Terlizzi with zoo staff.

Anyone interested in volunteering can fill out an application here.
