FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Research from the Federal Bank of New York says a little more than 40% of Black-owned businesses closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, two Fort Wayne Black-owned businesses, The Health Hut and Ladies Building Together, have teamed up to help others so they won't have to shut down in the Summit City.
The Health Hut's parking lot space has become a vending spot to showcase other businesses on the weekends.
Both businesses have overcome the COVID-19 shut down so this is their way of paying it forward.
"It works hand in hand for an established business front and the ones who probably work out of their homes who may do things off of Facebook or only do social media," Ladies Building Together CEO Brandee Collins said.
