FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — A former Fort Wayne police officer will serve two years in prison for trying to solicit sex with a 16-year-old student at Wayne High School.
An Allen County judge on Friday sentenced Andrew Beck to four years in jail for child solicitation and possession of child pornography. Two of those years are suspended.
Beck pleaded guilty to the charges in April as part of a plea deal.
Beck was arrested in September 2019 after investigators say he had sexual conversations with the student via Snapchat.
Investigators say he was in a relationship with a student at Wayne High School while he was the school resource officer.
