COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WFFT) -- Former Homestead and Purdue basketball star Caleb Swanigan was arrested early this morning on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.
The 23-year-old Swanigan, who last played for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA, was booked into the Whitley County Jail about 3 a.m. and released at 4:45 a.m. on $6,000 bond, according to the jail's website.

He has a court date scheduled on Monday.
Swanigan was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball in 2015 after he helped lead Homestead to its first state title in 2015.
He is a former Big Ten Player of the Year for Purdue and was picked 26th overall by the Trail Blazers in 2017 NBA draft.
