FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Firefighters are trying to figure out what started a business fire Tuesday.

The fire started around 5:30 p.m. at Hometown Filters on Maumee Avenue.

That's just east of Indiana Tech.

Firefighters said most of the building was on fire when they arrived.

Crews inside the building noticed the roof was sagging from the heat and everyone was evacuted.

Firefighters then attacked the fire from the outside.

It took about an hour and a half to get the fire under control.

Maumee avenue was shut down as firefighters battled the fire.
