Father and son arrested after narcotics investigation

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Two men are behind bars after police found drugs and stolen guns in their home and car.


A search warrant was served last night at 624 Kimberton Drive on the south side of Fort Wayne.

Detectives with the Fort Wayne PD Gang Unit arrested 39 year old Carlos Ellis Sr. and his son, 19 year old Carlos Ellis Jr. after finding cocaine, marijuana and other drug dealing paraphernalia in the home.

A traffic stop also had to be performed where officers discovered 2 guns, one of which was stolen, and more cocaine.

Ellis Sr. was charged with dealing cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of marijuana while his son is charged with carrying a handgun without a license and possession of cocaine.

Police say the arrests were the result of an investigation that invluved numerous complaints of gang and drug related activity at the home.
