FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Police are investigating a stabbing that left one man on the city's southside in serious condition early Thursday morning.
Just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday, the Fort Wayne Police Department was called to the 4500 block of South Hanna Street in connection to a stabbing.
Officers say when they arrived on the scene they found an adult male who was stabbed in his chest.
He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, according to FWPD.
Police say when the victim arrived at the hospital his condition was downgraded to life-threatening.
Investigators say there was a disturbance at the home before the stabbing happened.
Detectives say they are currently interviewing witnesses and hope to name a suspect after.
This stabbing remains under investigation.
