FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Police are searching for a man they say was involved in a crash that left one person in critical condition Monday afternoon.
Fort Wayne police were called to the intersection of Paulding Road and South Hanna Street just after 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in connection to a crash involving three vehicles.
Police said before they arrived that a male driver in a SUV who was involved in the crash walked away from the crash.
When officers and medics arrived on scene they said an adult male passenger of the SUV was injured during the crash.
Police say when the passenger arrived at the hospital he was ruled to be in critical condition.
Officers say those in the other two vehicles did not report any injuries.
Investigators say the driver of the SUV was traveling eastbound on Paulding Road and tried to make a left turn.
They say a van involved in the crash was driving eastbound on Paulding Road and collided with the SUV.
Then investigators say the collision caused the SUV to crash into with a third another car that was sitting in the southbound lanes on Hanna Street.
