FWCS to begin new superintendent search this week

Dr. Wendy Robinson previously announced she will retire after the next school year, which is when her contract expires.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The search for a new Fort Wayne Community Schools superintendent will begin this week.

Dr. Wendy Robinson previously announced she will retire after the next school year, which is when her contract expires.

The FWCS Board of Trustees will hold a couple meetings this week begin the search process.

Board president Julie Hollingsworth told FOX 55 these meetings are to gather more information about the process and what next steps to take, the board will focus on actively looking for candidates in January, but that timeline is still being sorted out.

Dr. Robinson has been with FWCS for more than 40 years and was named superintendent in 2003.
