FWCS investing in new security cameras

The district is spending $300,000 to update security cameras at South Side and Wayne High Schools.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Fort Wayne Community Schools is still taking steps to make sure students are safe.

The district is spending $300,000 to update security cameras at South Side and Wayne High Schools.

The new digital cameras will replace the aging analog system already in place.

This will allow school administrators and school resource officers to watch the cameras from outside the building.

The cameras will be installed by the end of the school year.
