FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday it will close U.S. Highway 33 in both directions between U.S. 30 and Washington Center Road in Fort Wayne at night this week.
The closures are for pavement improvements, INDOT said.
U.S. 33 will be closed nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday, July 6, through Wednesday, July 8.
Drivers should slow down in the area and be on alert for construction crews and law enforcement officers controlling traffic in the area.
The detour will follow U.S. 30, Kroemer Road and Washington Center Road.
