Engineering research center planned for Electric Works

Developers said Fort Wayne - based Medical Informatics Engineering signed a letter of intent to lease space in the former General Electric plant.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - An engineering research center is the latest potential tenant in Electric Works.

Developers said Fort Wayne - based Medical Informatics Engineering signed a letter of intent to lease space in the former General Electric plant.

MIE's initial plans include an advanced research and development center and a "virtual presence" training center.

Electric Works previously announced Parkview Health and Indiana Tech are also possible future tenants.
