FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — An early morning shooting left a man in Fort Wayne seriously injured Saturday.
On Saturday at about 4:22 a.m. Fort Wayne police officers in the area of Plaza Drive and Pettit Avenue said they heard several gunshots coming from nearby.
Shortly after, officers said they saw a vehicle that crashed into a parked car near this area.
FWPD said they say a man got out the car shortly after the crash and immediately fell to the ground.
Investigators said they found the man with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in serious condition.
Upon arriving at the hospital, emergency room doctors told police the victim had life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said they are going around the neighborhood to see if anyone may have witnessed the shooting.
Investigators said they currently have no suspect information and no arrests have been made yet.
