Fire destroys home early Thursday morning

An early morning fire destroyed a home, and left residents in the cold.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- An early morning fire destroyed a home, and left residents in the cold Thursday. 

It happened just before 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Crews responded to a fire at 404 Till Road East. When they arrived, they found heavy fire coming through the roof. 

The residents met crews outside and said everyone had evacuated safely. 

The fire was under control in about 30 minutes. The house sustained heavy fire and water damage, and is unable to be occupied. 

None of the occupants or pets were injured in the blaze. 

The fire is still under investigation.
