FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- The demolition of the old Peerless Cleaners building is set to begin Wednesday.

The University of Saint Francis purchased the building this year for $300,000. Rich Bienz, Vice President of Finance and Operations at USF, told WFFT crews will still have to clean up contamination at the site due to dry cleaning chemicals and other hazards.

The cost of cleanup is not clear, but will be paid for by insurance companies of previous owners. Bienz said the entire process will take around three months.

The university does not have plans for the space yet.
