FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- The Allen County Coroner's Office released the names of the four family members killed in a murder-suicide at their Cook Road home Monday night.
The coroner says 50-year-old Mark A. Long, wife 45-year-old Lisa Renee Long, and their daughter, 15-year-old Mahala Long, all died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Their deaths mark them as the 39th, 40th and 41st homicides in Allen County for 2021, respectively.
Samuel Mason Long, the 20-year-old son of Mark and Lisa, and brother to Mahala, died from a gunshot wound to the head.
The coroner ruled Samuel's death as a suicide.
Deputies say they responded to 7118 West Cook Rd. around 9 p.m. and saw the bodies through a window.
Chief Deputy Troy Hershberger with the Allen County Sheriff's Department said a fifth family member, an elderly woman, survived the shooting by hiding inside the house.
She and another relative who was not inside the house called 911.
