FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who was killed in a motorcycle collision with another car Sunday afternoon.
Fort Wayne police officers responded to the intersection of Illinois and Thomas roads at 2:40 p.m. Sunday about a motorcycle/car crash.

Police say when they arrived a woman, who was riding a motorcycle, was on the ground in the intersection.
Officers and paramedics rendered aid and took her to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The coroner has identified the victim as 32-year-old Whitney Ann Shoda of Columbia City.
Shoda's cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries, due to motorcycle versus motor vehicle crash, and the manner of death is an accident.
FWPD says witnesses told them the motorcycle was heading east on Illinois when a vehicle turned left onto Apple Glen and into the path of Shoda's motorcycle.
Shoda is the 8th motor vehicle fatality in Allen County for 2020.
The incident remains under investigation by authorities in Allen County.
