Harvest Safe Haven Fest kicks off Thursday at McMillen Park Community Center

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - If you're looking for something fun for the whole family, the McMillen Harvest Safe Haven Fest is happening Thursday.

There will be activities for the whole family with a costume contest, gift giveaways consisting of tvs, bikes, and power wheels.

For the first time, they are partnering with Solomon Park Farm for a hay ride animals.

The office coordinator, Percinta Hunter, said this is an event they have every year to make sure people have a safe place to go for fun.

"Every year we try to make it bigger and better. You kind of start small. Then we kind of like to say this is Christmas in October," Hunter explained.

The event is from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at McMillen Park Community Center.

Everything is free.
