FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — As part of Comcast’s multi-million-dollar nationwide commitment to improve customer service, the company opened a new 3,000-square-foot Xfinity retail store at Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center.
The new store opened its doors on Thursday.
This new store located at 4545 Illinois Rd. in Fort Wayne will replace the customer service center at 720 Taylor St..
Comcast says there will be 10 full-time and 2 part-time employees at the new store.
The latest mobile devices from Apple, Google, LG, Motorola and Samsung are available for purchase at the store.
“Giving our customers a place to try out our products is the most effective way to educate them of how our technology can provide more convenience and added value,” said Tim Collins, Regional Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Heartland Region. “This new store also gives us an opportunity to enhance the customer experience through face-to-face conversations and top-notch service.”
Comcast says patrons can learn from trained technology specialists how to get more value from their products, like personalizing, managing, and controlling their home WiFi experience with Xfinity xFi.
As consumers increasingly rely on their home WiFi networks, Comcast recently introduced xFi Advanced Security, a new service that monitors, blocks and informs customers of online threats to all connected devices -- adding an extra layer of protection for their entire home network.
The store’s hours are Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
