LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Robert V. "Bob" Rohrman, president and founder of the Bob Rohrman Auto Group died peacefully Tuesday night surrounded by family, according to someone close to the family.
Known for his car dealerships and his zany commercials, Bob Rohrman was born in Lafayette and a graduate of Lafayette Jeff.
He started selling cars in the late 1950s and opened his own used car lot in the 1960s.
The auto group has dealerships across Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Rohrman was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash in 2019.
The cause of death has not been released.
