FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The man accused of beating a man with a baseball bat outside of a Walmart, who later died in the hospital, agreed to a plea deal in court Wednesday morning.
Prosecutors say 22-year-old Levi Arnold of Bluffton pleaded guilty to charges of murder and resisting law enforcement Wednesday.

The announcement comes after Arnold was accused of beating 44-year-old Damarcus A. Walker with a baseball bat outside the Walmart on Apple Glen in March 2020.
Walker died while in the hospital over a month later and he was declared the 25th homicide for Allen County in 2020 back in July.
The deal drops battery, attempted murder and aggravated battery charges against Arnold, according to the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
The plea agreement would have Arnold serve a combined 51 and half years in prison if a judge agrees to it.
Arnold is scheduled to be sentenced on April 19.
