FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Bethesda Lutheran Communities is certain to include everyone in their community programs.
Even those who need a little more attention.
The nonprofit organization kicks off Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by gifting 30 men and women in their disabilities programs with tickets to the Winter Jam 2020 on Thursday at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
One participant, Cameron Shomo says, "concerts are my favorite."
Cameron's smile beams among the other participants who also got a chance to some of the artists backstage, such as Hillsong and Crowder.
The month of March marks the actual allotment for National Developmental Disabilities Awareness, initiated back in 1987.
Bethesda Lutheran continues initiatives like these to ensure recognition of "all abilities."
