FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- The Better Business Bureau of Northern Indiana knows the holiday season brings danger for kids getting new devices as gifts.
The Bureau's president, Marjorie Stephens, urges kids to "slow down and pay attention to the text" that often accompanies new device contracts.
Because of the modern need to have everything instantly, many kids and parents remain ignorant to binding contracts masked by customer service extensions.
Many fall prey to the scams in the form of “new fees” or personal information being taken.
