AUBURN, Ind. (WFFT) — Authorities in DeKalb County have released a sketch drawing of a man they are searching for in connection to a shooting that injured a teenage girl at an apartment complex last weekend.
The Auburn Police Department needs the public’s assistance in solving a shooting that occurred at the Castle Court Apartment Complex in the northeast area of the city.
Police say the shooting took place just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 20 when the man went into an apartment and shot a 16-year-old girl.
Police say the girl survived the shooting.
With the assistance of the Indiana State Police a sketch of the suspect has been developed, which can be seen above.
Investigators say the suspect is described as a white, male, who is over 6 feet tall and weighs more than 200 pounds.
Anyone who may recognize the suspect or has any other information about the crime is urged to call the Auburn Police Department and speak with Detective Quick at 260-920-3200 ext. 1905.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information resulting in an arrest and conviction of the suspect.
