FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- An apartment was damaged Sunday morning after a fire in a second floor bedroom.

It happened around 9:40 Sunday morning at 2831 Millbrook Drive. When crews arrived they found smoke and flames coming from a second story window.  Two adults and three children were able to escape safely from the blaze before crews arrived on scene.

The damage was contained to the room of origin because the occupants shut the door as they evacuated.
