FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Angie's List co-founder Angie Hicks returned to Fort Wayne Tuesday to talk to business leaders and entrepreneurs at the fifth annual Northeast Indiana Innovation Center's Ideas At Work Conference.

It was a full house at the Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation as Hicks shared her story of how she started Angie's List.

She said word of mouth still remains key to a thriving business.

"Really when you think of hiring a home improvement contractor, in many ways the biggest competitor at Angie's List is really word of mouth still. We still go and ask our neighbor. It's really one of the last industries to move online as far as connecting," Hicks said.

She said you shop online and get your groceries online, so why not find your contractor or plumber the same way.
