FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the man who was killed in a crash on Monday on the southwest side of Fort Wayne.
Officers with the Allen County Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection of State Route 14 West (Illinois Road) and South Noyer Road involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Police say 67-year-old Lawrence James Moran Jr. of Fort Wayne was riding his motorcycle when another vehicle pulled out in front of him causing a collision at the intersection.
The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority transported Moran to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The coroner determined Moran's cause of death to be blunt force injury due to motorcycle versuss motor vehicle crash and the manner of death is an accident.
Moran is the 15th traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2021.
The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
