FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash late last week.
On Friday, Sept. 24 just before 10 p.m., deputies with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were called to the intersection of 20700 block of State Road 37 near the intersection of Springfield Center Road in Harlan for a motorcycle crash.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office says the driver, identified as 50-year-old Gregory M. Racioppi, went off the road as his motorcycle failed to negotiate a turn.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
Racioppi's cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash and the manner of death is an accident.
He is the 37th fatal motor vehicle crash victim in Allen County for 2021.
This crash remains under investigation by authorities in Allen County.
