FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was killed in a Sunday afternoon crash in downtown Fort Wayne.
Just after 4 p.m. Sunday, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a reported crash in the 300 block of Washington Boulevard between Webster and Ewing streets downtown.

Officers reportedly were told that multiple calls came in that a small SUV crashed a tree across from the Allen County Public Library.
The victim was identified as 38-year-old Robert Allen Koenig Jr. of Fort Wayne.
Koenig was a passenger in a vehicle that left the road and crashed into a tree.
Koenig was pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority paramedics.
His cause of death was ruled to be multiple blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash, and the manner of death is still under investigation.
This crash remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
