FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the two women who were killed in a shooting Tuesday evening in Fort Wayne.
At around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Third Street.
Medics say one woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a second woman was transferred to a local hospital in critical condition where she later died from her injuries.
The woman who died at the scene was identified by the coroner as 40-year-old Jennifer Ann Dray.
The cause of death for Dray was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide.
Dray is the 10th Homicide victim in Allen County for 2021.
The second victim who died at a local hospital was identified as 30-year-old Amanda Lee Shroyer, Female White of Fort Wayne.
The cause of death for Shroyer was also determined to be multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide.
Shroyer is the 11th Homicide victim in Allen County for 2021.
This shooting remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
Police have not announced any information of a possible suspect at the time.
