DECATUR, Ind. (WFFT) -- Adams Memorial Hospital says it's evaluating a patient for COVID-19 as it awaits confirmation from the state.
In a press release Monday, the hospital says the patient has been placed in an isolation room and is being treated by staff. The swab has been sent to the Indiana State Department of Health for confirmation.
The hospital says it has long-standing policies and procedures in place.
It's taking extra precautions at its senior living facilities (Adams Woodcrest and Adams Heritage) because those patients are the most susceptible to the virus.
Restrictions include: No visitors under 18 are allowed on the second floor, all visitors must be fever-free and only two designated visitors are allowed for each patient.
