FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — A Decatur man is facing a dozen charges after police say he inappropriately touched several boys and sent them inappropriate messages.
According to court documents, 24-year-old Christopher Litchfield, performed sex acts at least 10 times on another boy.
Court documents state Litchfield was an assistant football coach and Adams Central Community Schools substitute teacher is charged with 12 felony counts.
The boys told investigators they received photos and text messages from Litchfield, who court documents allege asked about the teens' genitalia and whether he could "get personal" with them.
The boys were 13 or 14 years old at the time, court documents state.
Police said Litchfield "was permitted to come to the school during the lunch hour to speak with students on behalf of a religious organization" called Campus Life and touched one boy's inner thigh after a "youth event," twice.
One boy said Litchfield would take him and other boys to buy food as part of his work as a youth leader for his church.
Another boy said he received a picture sent to his phone from Litchfield showing his midsection.
The mother of one of the boys told investigators Litchfield entered her home at night and watched her son while he was asleep.
Litchfield is charged with residential entry, six counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and five counts of child molesting.
He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Adams Central Superintendant Joel Mahaffey says Litchfield was placed on suspension by the school district when they first learned about the investigation on Aug. 19 and was fired Tuesday Sept. 10 after they were informed of the charges agianst him.
