FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - These ladies and letting their voices be heard.
Participants came through the conference room door at Indiana Tech's Keene Building to join forces with other women in the political and professional spotlight for the Advancing Voices of Women Campaign Institute luncheon and workshop.
Allen County locals and AVOW organizers, Rachel Tobin-Smith and Patricia Hays, led workshops to refine the women's campaigning and overall civil engagement skills.
The workshops focused on funding to sustain campaigns, recognizing the achievements of others, and even public speaking.
The afternoon gathering boasted Fort Wayne City Councilwomen Michelle Chambers and Sharon Tucker, and Yale University's Campaign School Director, Patricia Russo.
The workshops will last from Friday, Mar. 6 through Sunday, Mar. 8.
