911 systems across Indiana experience outage Friday night

The Fort Wayne Police Department said the IN911 network suffered technical difficulties around 7:07 p.m.

NORTHEAST INDIANA (WFFT) - Several 911 systems across Indiana went offline for nearly an hour Friday.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said the IN911 network suffered technical difficulties around 7:07 p.m.

Several counties across Indiana were affected, including Allen, DeKalb, Noble, Kosciusko and Wells.

The service was restored by 7:58 p.m.

There will also be ongoing troubleshooting to identify the exact cause of this incident.
