NEW HAVEN, Ind. (AP) - Six adults and two children have escaped from an early morning house fire in northeastern Indiana.

The fire started about 1 a.m. Friday in New Haven.

The people inside the house fled the home before firefighters arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the garage area.
