FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)-- General Motors announcing the suspension of operations in their plants in the U.S.
The Fort Wayne GM plant has four thousand workers who one worker says has been pushing for the plant to close for weeks, due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
"They're ignoring everything, pretty much," A Fort Wayne GM employee says.
She spoke with us on the phone and wanted to remain anonymous for this story, but says her and many others inside the plant are worried about the possibility of Coronavirus making its way into the plant and affecting the health of workers.
"You should see our Facebook page," she says. "People are screaming."
She is especially worried because she has a compromised immune system.
"It doesn't make sense to wait a week or two and shut down if the crisis is right now why do we still have 4,000 people touching all these things," she says.
